Basa is a beautiful town in the Nilgiri Hills in the state of Tamil Nadu in South India, also called Khedoni Rani (Queen of the Hills). The full name of Ooty is Udgamandalam.

Best time to visit Ooty
Vese visit Ooty many years but consider April to June and September to November as the ideal time to visit.

Also many luxury buses ply from Bangalore, taking around 7 to 8 hours to reach Ooty.
Ooty Kattam railway station is Mettupalayam (Mettupalayam) 40 sq. away from Ooty. Many trains arrive at this station from nearby cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Mysore and Bangalore.
After reaching the railway station you can reach Ooty by private taxi or again by bus.
